- Realme X3 SuperZoom could be in the works.
- It is listed to have 12GB of RAM and Android 10.
- There is no way to tell when the smartphone will launch.
Realme is purportedly working on the successor of the Realme X2. A new Realme smartphone, model number RMX2086, is surfacing on various certification websites, hinting at an imminent launch. The device has arrived on the Geekbench benchmarking website, India's BIS certification website, Russia's EEC certification website, and Thailand's NBTC certification website, which has confirmed the what it is going to be commercially known as. It is likely to debut in markets as Realme X3 SuperZoom. Some of the major specifications of Realme X3 SuperZoom have also been revealed via these listings.
First off, the Geekbench listing of the Realme X3 SuperZoom has revealed there will be Android 10 under the hood and that the device will have a 12GB RAM version. There are two listings with the same model number, implying there could be two variants. The Realme X3 SuperZoom has scored 788 in the single-core test and 2624 in the multi-core test on the Geekbench website.
Moreover, the benchmark database has mentioned an octa-core "msmnile" motherboard, which refers to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SoC, also used on the Realme X2 Pro. Usually, the information divulged via benchmark website listings turn out true but it's rather strange in Realme X3 SuperZoom's case. The Snapdragon 855+ SoC is older than Snapdragon 865 and does not support 5G.
Apart from the information mentioned above, there is no way to tell why the word "SuperZoom" exists in the device's name. The camera specifications are yet to be out but it is safe to assume there could be 20X or more zoom capabilities on the cameras. The listings on the certification websites do not tell anything else as well. Only the model number is mentioned in nearly all of them -- BIS, EEC, and NBTA.
Realme could launch the smartphone towards the latter half of the year, depending on the coronavirus situation that has hit the brakes to the tech industry. Since there is a paucity of information on the upcoming Realme X3 SuperZoom, it is not certain what the company is planning for the successor of the Realme X2. Realme may choose to launch a Pro version of the smartphone as well, considering Realme X2 had one.
