Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 series has a launch date finally. The smartphones will be unveiled in India, which will also be a global launch event. For those unaware, Xiaomi's Redmi Note lineup has been delivering value for money devices in the midrange segment since its inception. Thereby gaining a lot of popularity in Indian as well as global markets. The smartphone maker has already brought nine iterations of the Note lineup, and now the Chinese giant is gearing up for the 10th.

Xiaomi has revealed the launch date of Redmi Note 10 lineup via its social media handles. The lineup has been slated to launch on March 4, 2021, via a virtual event for which the brand has sent a 'Block your calendar' invite.

We had just detailed the Redmi Note 10 series in leaks and rumours roundup, and here we're jotting down another article about the same. Now that the launch date is just around the corner, several leaks are popping up to reveal details of the upcoming devices.

Redmi Note 10 series specs and features

--Redmi revealed the launch date of the upcoming Note 10 lineup through its social media handles. Xiaomi Vice President and its Managing Director in India, Manu Kumar Jain also tweeted the launch date through his Twitter account.

--Redmi launched quite a few devices under the Redmi Note 9 moniker including the Redmi Note 9, Note 9 Pro, Note 9 Pro max. This time around Redmi will initially launch two devices, i.e. the Redmi Note 10 and Redmi Note 10 Pro.

--A teaser was previously released on amazon through which we know that the lineup will be an Amazon exclusive. Both Redmi Note 10 and Note 10 Pro have received BIS certification (Bureau of Indian Standards) and US FCC (Federal Communications Commission).

-- As per the media reports, the Vanilla Redmi Note 10 lineup is expected to feature a 6.57inch FHD+ IPS LCD display with 120Hz refresh rate, whereas the top variant, i.e. the Redmi Note 10 Pro might ship with an AMOLED panel. Moreover, a leaked image has revealed the design of the smartphone.

--Through the leaked image, we know that the front panel of the device will feature a punch-hole cutout for the selfie shooter. Whereas the rear panel will be housing a circular camera module which should look similar to the Mi 10i.

--The fingerprint reader on Redmi Note 9 and 9 Pro Max was positioned to the side, and the same is expected for the upcoming lineup. Besides this, the leaked image showcases a grey colour option. More colour options are expected to be available at the time of launch.

--Another leak suggests that both the Redmi Note 10 and Redmi Note 10 Pro will get 5G variants too.

-- The upcoming Redmi Note 10 is rumoured the to ship with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 732G SoC. However, some reports suggest that MediaTek's Dimensity 720 SoC could power the smartphone. The top variant, i.e. the Redmi Note 10 Pro is expected to feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 750G.

--Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G is an octa-core chipset clocked at 2.3GHz and coupled with Adreno 618 GPU. This chipset has support for WiFi 6, but it misses out on 5G.

--On the other hand, the Snapdragon 750G is also an octa-core chipset clocked at 2.2GHz and coupled with Adreno 619GPU. This chipset, unlike the 732G is 5G and WiFi 6 ready.

-- Besides this, the devices should ship in three RAM and storage variants 4GB+64GB, 6GB+64GB and 8GB+128GB respectively.

--In the camera department, the Redmi Note 10 lineup is expected to see a substantial upgrade reports suggest. We previously reported that the Redmi Note could ship with a 108-megapixel primary camera, but we expected this feature to be exclusive to Pro models. Specs of the other three accompanying sensors are currently unknown.

--Finally, the Redmi Note 10 lineup is expected to be powered by a 5050mAh battery with support for 22.5W fast charging.

Xiaomi India announced the launch date on Twitter for the upcoming Redmi Note 10 lineup. The all-new Redmi Note 10 lineup will go official on March 4, 2021, and most importantly, it will be a global launch event.

The aggressive pricing and best in segment hardware of the Redmi Note series so far has made it the undisputed king in its price segment. Currently, there's no price leak around the Redmi Note 10 series, however, looking at the past pricing trend, we expect the Redmi Note 10 to come at a starting price of Rs 14,999 whereas the Redmi Note 10 Pro to start shipping at Rs 17,999.
