Even as much of the world, including India, is still busy getting new additions to the Redmi Note 9 series, the phone maker already appears to be working on a Redmi Note 10 series that could launch in the coming months.

This is according to a report by Gizmochina which claims the device has been spotted on the benchmark site, AI Benchmark. As per the report, the Redmi Note 10 appears on the list in the second position, outperforming the Vivo iQOO Z1 which comes with a Dimensity 1000+ processor. The listing, as per the report, was first spotted by the Chinese leaker, Digital Chat Station.

As per AI Benchmark, the Redmi Note 10 is powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 820 and brings 8GB of RAM and runs Android 10. While it is still too early for the Redmi Note 10 to be launched in India, we could, however, see the Redmi Note 10 be launched in China. After this, we may get our hands on a global version at a later date, with the India version also launching around the same time.

The Dimensity 820 is a midrange 5G chipset with four Cortex A76 cores and four Cortex A55 cores, along with a Mali G57 MC5 GPU. The Dimensity 820 allows for 5G dual-SIM connectivity, which could help Xiaomi push it to global markets. The chipset could offer performance similar to phones powered by the Snapdragon 855 from last year.

Apart from this, nothing else is known about the device at the moment. However, more on this should be known in the coming weeks and months as the phone gets closer to an actual launch.

Redmi also recently launched the Note 9 in India. The phone brings a 6.53-inch IPS panel with FHD+ resolution and a punch-hole housing a 13-megapixel camera that's protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass 5. Under the hood, the Redmi Note 9 uses a MediaTek Helio G85 chip, which uses a processor with two performance cores and six efficiency cores. The phone is available with up to 6GB of RAM with either 64GB or 128GB storage options that can be expanded using a MicroSD card.
