Xiaomi has unveiled the Redmi Note 9 in India in an online-only event. The Redmi Note 9 is the third smartphone in the Note 9 series after the Note 9 Pro and Note 9 Pro. The smartphone has been priced at Rs 11,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant, whereas the 6GB and 128GB variant is priced at Rs 14,999. At a similar price point, Samsung offers the Galaxy M21, which also provides similar specifications and features.
The Redmi Note 9 targets the budget audience and has been launched at a fairly competitive price. The same can be said about the Samsung Galaxy M21, which arrived in March this year.

The Samsung Galaxy M21, on the other hand, features a 6.4-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Exynos 9611 chipset paired with up to 6GB of RAM.
In terms of battery, the Redmi Note 9 houses a 5,020mAh battery with support for 22W fast charging. It also supports 9W reverse charging. The Samsung Galaxy M21 houses a massive 6000mAh battery with support for 15W fast charging that ensures 3X speed as compared to the normal charging.

The Samsung Galaxy M21 features a triple camera setup on the rear as opposed to Redmi Note 9's quad-camera setup. The camera module includes a 48-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel lens, and a 5-megapixel lens. On the front, it features a 20 megapixel for selfies.

The Redmi Note 9 is priced at Rs 11,999 for the 4GB and 64 storage variant. For the 6GB and 128 storage variants, it costs Rs 14,999. There is also a 4GB and 128GB variant that hasn't received a price tag yet. It comes in three different color options including Aqua Green, Arctic White, and Pebble Grey. The Redmi Note 9 will go on sale in India via Amazon on July 24 at 12 noon.

The Galaxy M21 is offered in two memory variants including the 4GB+64GB and the 6GB+128GB variants.
