If you are a Xiaomi fan, it is a good time to be alive. A couple of days ago, Xiaomi announced new products under the Mi series and as the dust has almost settled, Redmi is going to make an entry. Xiaomi's affordable arm responsible for its value-for-money smartphones and accessories is now teasing a pair of new wireless earbuds for India and these are headed our way soon. There also appears to be a bass-heavy audio product, indicating at a speaker.

At the start of 2020, Xiaomi did confirm that it has some big plans for both its Mi and Redmi sub-brands. The Mi series has already seen a couple of accessories this year and Redmi has also stepped into the category. After a pair of affordable power banks, Redmi is now moving towards the audio category.

For those not knowing, Redmi has a couple of accessories in China and it seems that the company is bringing some of them to our shores this year. The first one appears to be the Redmi AirDots S earbuds, which sell in China as one of Xiaomi's most affordable earbuds. The AirDots S was given a recent revamp with regards to the connectivity technology and chances are that Xiaomi is going to bring the same to India.

Given that the Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 was launched at a price of Rs 4,500, Redmi could aim to launch its earbuds at a price much lower than that. The AirDots S doesn't have the AirPods-like stalk design and also offer a limited battery life of maximum of 14 hours, with the case included. Expect Xiaomi to go for a price of around Rs 3,000 for its earbuds.

Along with the earbuds, Redmi also seems to be launching a high-bass speaker. Xiaomi's teaser has so far suggested at a speaker-like device meant for party. Hence, it could be a new soundbar from Redmi. Xiaomi already sells a soundbar for its Mi TV models under the Mi sub-brand at a price of Rs 4,999. We can expect Redmi to launch its speaker at a much lower price than this one.

There are a couple of new products expected to launch as part of Redmi's lineup for India. There have been reports suggesting that the Redmi Note 9 global variant could come to India soon as the more affordable alternative to the Redmi Note 9 Pro. Another leak suggested that Redmi is planning to come up with new RedmiBook branded laptops for India next month. The RedmiBook 14 could be aimed at consumers looking for affordable Windows 10 laptops with decent specifications.
