Reliance Jio is hosting JioMart Gameathon Free Fire esports that will be held from October 30 to November 1. The free-to-participate tournament will be held for 576 teams in four rounds. The four rounds of the competition are the qualifier stage, quarter-finals, semi-finals, and grand finale. Out of the 576 teams, 96 teams will go for quarter-finals, 24 teams in semi-finals and 12 teams in the grand finale.
In the first round, 48 lobbies will be hosted from which top two teams from each lobby will be selected. The second round will have 8 lobbies. Top 3 teams will be selected from each lobby. The third round will have 2 lobbies and the top 6 teams from each lobby will qualify to the next round. The fourth and the final round will have one lobby with 3 maps.
The Free Fire tournament will have a live broadcast on YouTube and JioTv. The JioMart Gameathon has a prize pool of Rs 25,000. The winning team will get Rs 16,000 followed by Rs 12,000 for the runner-up. The most valuable player will get prize money of Rs 1000. The money will be credited to the players' JioMart wallet. This will be a mobile-only tournament and iPads, emulators and other add-ons are strictly prohibited.
Jio noted that being a part of a team is a prerequisite and that teams have to be registered on the JioGames portal. Players will require email IDs, game IDs and team logos for the registration. Jio will notify players 15 minutes before the tournament with their lobby IDs and passwords. The registration for the online games started on October 26 and will go up to October 29 through the Jio Games portal.
