  • The Galaxy S20 series is set to go on sale for March 6 in the US

Samsung's latest flagships, the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra were launched earlier in the week in San Francisco, California. At the launch, the company had announced the pricing and availability for the flagships in the US, however, no information on the device's availability in India was announced.

But all three devices have now gone up for pre-registrations in India, hinting that they are one step closer to coming to India. Interestingly, the company has also put up the Galaxy Z Flip for pre-registration.

While the pre-registration page on the company's India website doesn't reveal the price or availability of the devices, it does attempt to drum up interest for the device by asking buyers to provide their name, email ID, mobile number, and pin code details for the Galaxy S20 series and Galaxy Z Flip phones.

Although little information is available about the devices, the Galaxy S20 series phones are expected to be launched in India in their 4G avatar and as such be more affordable than what they are being priced at in the US.

In terms of the specs, the Galaxy S20 phones come in three different sizes, the basic S20 comes with a 6.2-inch Quad HD+ Dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O Display. The S20+ gets a 6.7-inch Quad HD+ Dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O Display.

All three phones share the chipset, with the US variant getting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC, while the phone getting an Exynos 990 in markets outside the country.

5G variant of the S20 and S20+ will sport 12GB of RAM. However, 4G LTE variants of the devices will get 8GB of RAM. The S20 Ultra will get 16GB of RAM on its top-end variant, while the entry ones will get 12GB of RAM.

Both the Galaxy S20 and the Galaxy S20+ support hybrid optical zoom of up to 3X and total zoom of 30X. The two phones also share the main cameras in the setup, which include a 12-megapixel ultra-wide, a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 64-megapixel telephoto lens. However, on the S20+ there's also a ToF camera.

The S20 Ultra on the other hand also gets a quad-camera set-up, but with completely different lenses. The first lens is an ultra-wide 12-megapixel lens sat next to the primary 108-megapixel wide-angle lens. For 100x Space Zoom there's a 48-megapixel lens. Completing the set-up is a ToF lens.
