State Bank of India on Tuesday informed users that the online banking services have been affected due to server issues. The bank posted a note on its official Twitter and informed the users about the glitch.
The note shared by SBI read, "Intermittent connectivity issues have delayed making our Core Banking System available to our esteemed customers today 13.10.2020. We hope to be able to serve you normally before noon. All channels except ATMs and POS machines will be affected. We regret the inconvenience caused and request you to bear with us."
SBI customers cannot use the online banking services but they can withdraw money from SBI ATMs and POS machines will be functioning too, the bank said in the statement.
Many SBI customers took to Twitter to report issues with SBI online services. One of the users wrote, "Instead of posting on twitter this important notice should have been sent to all customers through SMS."
While another user said, "Can not use online banking website or make payments through any of the UPI apps. Having trouble with SBI since yesterday."
