Beats has launched its Studio Buds truly wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds. The latest addition to Apple's audio accessories come with active noise-cancelling capability as well as a transparency mode that heightens the ambient sound through exterior microphones on the earbuds.

In addition, the Beats Studio Buds feature voice assistant support as well as a one-touch pairing for both Apple and Android devices. This support for Android devices can be configured through the Beats app, while Apple devices will do it natively through iOS.

Here is a look at the price and availability of the Beats Studio Buds, as well as all that they have to offer.

Beats Studio Buds price and availability

Beats Studio Buds have been priced at $149.99, which roughly equates to Rs 11,000. The in-ear earbuds will be available in Black, Beats Red, and White colour options.

For now, the new Apple audio accessory will only be available for purchase in the US and Canada through the Apple website. The product will start shipping on June 24.

Apple has not provided any information on their availability in other markets, including India.

Beats Studio Buds features and specifications

Beats Studio Buds are not powered by custom Apple silicon like some other models. Because of this, the new in-ear headphones by Beats do not support spatial audio on Apple Music.

Instead, Beats Studio Buds are powered by a proprietary, dual-element diaphragm driver housed within a two-chamber housing. Audio performance is further optimised for loudness and clarity by an advanced digital processor.

Beats Studio Buds feature two distinct listening modes - Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) and Transparency mode. While the former blocks out all outside noise, the latter acts opposite and uses external-facing microphones to mix the sounds of the user's surroundings with the music being played.

Apple device users can activate Siri hands-free on the Beats Studio Buds just by saying, "Hey Siri." No additional app is required for the same. Android users, however, will have to use the Beats app for Android for features like built-in controls, device status (i.e. battery levels), and firmware updates.

Apple promises up to 8 hours of listening time on the Beats Studio Buds. The earbuds can be charged twice through the pocket-sized charging case, extending the battery backup to a total of 24 hours of combined playback. Using ANC or Transparency mode limits this to 5 hours of listening time or 15 hours combined with the case.

Beats Studio Buds support wireless charging and can be charged for up to 1 hour of playback with a 5-minute Fast Fuel charging. There is also a USB Type-C port for wired charging.

The new earbuds by Apple come with Class 1 Bluetooth technology promising extended wireless range and fewer dropouts. They are also equipped with dual beam forming microphones that filter out wind and external noise for optimum voice clarity during calls.

The earbuds also feature on-ear controls that can manage calls and control music. Users will also be able to customise the "Press and Hold" function to work for either ANC or voice assistant.

Beats Studio Buds come with three silicone ear tip sizes (small, medium, or large) for a customised fit. They offer an IPX4 rating for sweat and water resistance. Each of the buds weighs a minimal 5 grams, while the case weighs 48 grams, for a combined weight of 58 grams.
