Purchased iPhone 13 for under Rs 50,000 from Flipkart and never got the order? Well, you are not the only one. There are many customers who ordered the iPhone 13 during the Flipkart Big Billion Days sale but the seller cancelled the order. In fact, several customers took to Twitter to complain that Flipkart is taking a lot of time to issue a refund for the order as well.
Update: "Flipkart is a customer first ecommerce marketplace and always ensures that customers' interests are protected. We understand that close to 70% of all iPhone orders placed across cities including Guntur, Gorakhpur, and Siliguri have been successfully delivered by the Sellers," a company spokesperson said. The platform said that only "a minor fraction of orders have been cancelled by Sellers due to anomalies." "As a customer-focused e-commerce marketplace, we encourage sellers to prioritise the customers' orders and strive to keep them delighted with their service," Flipkart Spokesperson said.
At the start of the Big Billion Days sale, Flipkart offered the iPhone 13 for as low as Rs 47,000. While the platform increased the price of the iPhone model every few hours, many managed to grab the model for under Rs 50,000, which is a great deal. But unfortunately, it seems, booking the iPhone model and paying for it wasn't enough.
While some customers got their orders on time, for many others the seller cancelled the order. No one knows the reason why. The e-commerce platform has been notifying some of the buyers that their iPhone 13 order has been cancelled. Meanwhile, customers have taken to Twitter to report the issue. So, if your order also got cancelled, well, you are not the only one.
Flipkart or the seller hasn't revealed the reason behind the order cancellation, but it is possibly due to very high demand. Another reason could be limited stock availability with the seller. Notably, as we reported earlier, the 128GB storage model of the iPhone 13 is not available on Amazon or Flipkart right now. Now, there could be two reasons behind this 1) Apple wants customers to buy top-end models and 2) high demand or limited stock availability.
In addition to cancellation complaints, some customers are also complaining of long queues for the refund on their cancelled orders. Some of the customers say that due to a delayed refund they are unable to place a new order for the iPhone 13. Flipkart hasn't officially confirmed why these orders have been cancelled by the seller and when the refund of cancelled orders will be initiated.
Currently, the iPhone 13 128GB model is unavailable on Flipkart. While the 256GB and 512GB models are available at a price of Rs 66,990 and Rs 86,990, respectively. Additionally, there's bank offer available as well. Flipkart is offering a 10 per cent instant discount on shopping with Axis and ICICI bank cards during the Big Billion Days sale, which ends on September 30.
