Story highlights
  • BSNL is giving bulk data plans priced at Rs 151 and Rs 251 with 30 days validity.
  • The plans offer 40GB and 70GB of data with no calling benefits.
  • BSNL has introduced new prepaid plans whose introductory offers give 25GB and 40GB data respectively.

Jio recently launched its no daily data limit prepaid plans with 15, 30, 60, 90, and 365 days validity. These plans also offer calling and SMS benefits and do not have a daily data limit. The Rs 247 plan from this category offers 25GB for 30 days. Government-owned telco Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) offers work from home plans with bulk data and 30 days validity. However, they offer generous amounts of data. If users can compromise on speeds and want large amounts of data, they should consider these plans.

BSNL Work from home data STV Rs 251: This STV for Rs 251 brings with it 70GB data spread over validity for 30 days. The plan does not give calling or SMS benefits. As compared to this plan, Jio's newly introduced Rs 247 prepaid plan which comes with no daily data limit and 30 days validity gives only 25GB data and comes with unlimited calls and Jio apps.

BSNL Work from home data STV Rs 151: This STV from BSNL for Rs 151 brings with it 40GB data spread over validity for 30 days. The plan does not give calling or SMS benefits. As compared to this plan with Jio's cheapest newly introduced no daily data limit plan which comes for Rs 127, gives only 12GB data for 15 days along with access to unlimited calls and Jio apps.

Jio Rs 151, Rs 201 work from home prepaid plans:

Jio also offers data-specific work from home plans at a similar price point. The data-specific prepaid plans priced at Rs 151 and Rs 251 from Jio offer unlimited 30GB and 50GB data respectively for a validity of 30 days, which is again less hen compared to BSNL work from home data plans. Users must however note that the speeds will greatly differ with what the telcos have to offer.

Airtel also gives a Rs 251 prepaid 4G data plan that gives 50GB of data. The validity of this plan exists till the time of the current validity of the plan that the user is subscribed to. Users should check on the Airtel Thanks app if they do not spot it on the telco's website. Vodafone Idea or Vi also gives 50GB for 28 days and access to Vi movies and TV.
