HDFC Mobile Banking app facing issues, customers asked to use NetBanking

HDFC Mobile Banking app has become non-functional due to some issues again. The bank has requested customers to use net banking to complete transaction till they get the app back on its feet. Several users reported issues with the HDFC Mobile banking app on Twitter at around 11:30 am today.

Update: The issue with the HDFC Banking app has been resolved. The app is up and running. "Please note the issues around the mobile banking app is now resolved. Customers can now use NetBanking and mobile banking app for transactions. We regret the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience," HDFC bank tweeted.

Users have reported getting a message that reads, "We are experiencing some issues on the MobileBanking app. We are looking into this on priority. Request you to please use NetBanking to complete your transaction. Regret the inconvenience caused."

HDFC has acknowledged the issue on Twitter but has not revealed the exact cause behind the outage. The company on Twitter wrote, "We are experiencing some issues on the MobileBanking App. We are looking into this on priority and will update shortly. Customers are requested to please use NetBanking to complete their transaction. Regret the inconvenience caused. Thank you." The message is similar to what most customers have received on the app while trying to access it.

As per the down detector, 88 per cent of users reported issues with logging in while 11 percent users faced issues while accessing the website. The people started facing issues with the banking app around 10:30 with maximum cases reported around 11:30 am. Users, however, were able to make payments using the debit cards on the website.

This isn't the first time HDFC is facing an outage, the mobile banking app went down in March and even suffered a huge outage in November.
