Mi 11 Lite was launched in India on Tuesday afternoon. This is the fourth and most affordable Xiaomi smartphone to the Mi 11 series which already has the Mi 11X, Mi 11X Pro and Mi 11 Ultra. The newest addition to the Mi 11 line-up stands out because of its form factor. Mi 11 Lite is claimed to be the slimmest and lightest smartphone of 2021. The smartphone has already been launched globally in both 4G and 5G variants. However, Xiaomi has only introduced the 4G variant in India for now.
Mi 11 Lite will compete with OnePlus Nord CE 5G and iQOO Z3 among other smartphones in the sub-Rs 25,000 category. The highlights of this phone include a 90Hz AMOLED display with a 10-bit panel, Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G processor and a 64-megapixel triple rear camera setup. Xiaomi has also launched Mi Watch Revolve Active at the same launch event.
Mi 11 Lite price in India has been set at Rs 21,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant while the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant of the phone costs Rs 23,999. The internal storage on both the variants can be expanded using a microSD card. As part of the early bird offer, both the variants will be available for Rs 1500 less. The customers will also get Rs 1500 discount for making the puchase using HDFC Bank card. The smartphone will come in three colour options - Tuscany Coral, Jazz Blue, and Viny Black.
Mi 11 Lite features a 6.5-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 90 Hz refresh rate, HDR 10+ support and a 10-bit panel for better contrast and colours. The smartphone is just 6.8mm thick and weighs 157 grams. It comes with a glass rear panel and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G processor in India. Xiaomi has launched only a 4G variant in the country right now but has hinted that a 5G model may arrive in the future.
The rear camera setup includes a 64-megapixel primary camera, an 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, and a 5-megapixel macro camera. The smartphone is fitted with a 16-megapixel selfie camera. Xiaomi has included a lot of photography specific features on the phone including 23 director modes.
Mi 11 Lite packs a 4,250 mAh battery that supports 33W rapid charging. The phone also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. There is no 3.5m headphone jack on the phone, but Xiaomi is shipping a type-C to 3.5mm headphone adaptor with the device.
