Like last year, OnePlus might stick to a single variant for the T lineup of its flagship smartphones. Rumours around the OnePlus 9 series have hinted that there is a OnePlus 9T in the make, while there are no OnePlus 9T Pro plans.
The OnePlus 9T will come as a step-up variant to the OnePlus 9 launched in March this year. If the company follows its annual timeline, we can expect to see the smartphone out in the international markets by October this year. Before that, rumours around the smartphone are already making their way to the internet.
A recent one by a post from Weibo, as spotted by TechDroider, suggests that the OnePlus 9T will come with an LTPO display by Samsung. It shares more details on display make but no other information about the smartphone as of now.
As per the Weibo post, the OnePlus 9T will come with a 120Hz LTPO E4 Flexible Screen. This will support a 1080P Resolution as well as a variable refresh rate. This means that the smartphone display will be able to adjust the refresh rate as per the use it is being put through.
On the downside, the post mentions that there will be no OnePlus 9T Pro model available this year. If so, this will follow last year's launch of the T moniker smartphones, having only a single variant - OnePlus 8T.
Though the information shared cannot be confirmed as yet, OnePlus will likely follow this launch cycle to introduce an upgraded version of the OnePlus 9 in a more affordable package than the OnePlus 9 Pro.
As for what to expect on the smartphone, it is likely to come with Qualcomm's top Snapdragon 888 processor, coupled with at least 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Other OnePlus marquees can also be expected, including a Hasselblad camera setup, 65W fast charging and support for the latest Android versions. Though it will be time before any of this is made official.
