OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro now receiving OxygenOS 11.2.6.6 update in India

The new OxygenOS 11.2.6.6 update for the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro brings an improved charging experience and camera enhancements.

OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro users can now download the latest OxygenOS incremental update that's now available over the air. The company says that the new OxygenOS 11.2.6.6 for the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro is being rolled out in the Indian region currently. OnePlus plans to roll out the same update soon to the EU and NA (North America) regions. The new update is an incremental one, which means it is smaller in size, about 160MB, and brings minor changes.

Users in India with the OnePlus 9 smartphone can look up the update with build number 11.2.6.6.LE25DA, while OnePlus 9 Pro users can download the 11.2.6.6.LE15DA build.

If you haven't got any update notification, then you can manually check via Settings > System > System Updates.

The changelog listed by the company in a forum post confirms the new update brings system and camera-related improvements.

The new OxygenOS 11.2.6.6 update brings improvements to the charging experience, optimised power consumption, and fixed known issues and improved stability in terms of system-related changes.

Coming to the camera, the new update improves the hidden operation logic of the camera's top bar, optimises the noise reduction and sharpening effect of the rear camera, improves the focusing experience and brightness constancy in indoor scenes, and improves the accuracy of the auto-white balance of the rear camera. The new update is also claimed to improve network performance.

The OxygenOS 11.2.6.6 update is the second one in a month for OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro users. Earlier this month, the company rolled out an OxygenOS 11.2.5.5 update that also bumped the monthly security patch to May 2021.

Both the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro were launched in March this year, running OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11. The OnePlus 9 is the most affordable of the two. The company launched the OnePlus 9 starting at Rs 49,999, while the OnePlus 9 Pro was launched at a starting price of Rs 64,999. The company, this year, also launched the OnePlus 9R at prices starting at Rs 39,999. OnePlus also unveiled its first smartwatch, the OnePlus Watch, alongside the OnePlus 9 series in India.

Earlier this week, the OnePlus 8T, OnePlus 8, and OnePlus 8 Pro smartphones received the latest OxygenOS updates in India.
