OnePlus is doubling down on its Nord series with its recent smartphone launches. Even before the company introduced the much-awaited OnePlus Nord CE 5G in India last week, reports of a true OnePlus Nord successor began to surface online. The smartphone is expected to launch next month, but before that, OnePlus might come out with yet another OnePlus Nord smartphone.
This one will be called the OnePlus Nord N200. As can be judged from its name, the Nord N200 will succeed last year's entry-level OnePlus Nord N100. If recent speculations are to be believed, the smartphone might debut in India as early as tomorrow, June 15. Rumours and leaks around the device even tell us as to what we can expect from it upon its debut.
These speculations arise from renders as well as the FCC certification of the device that surfaced on the internet last week. Noted tipster Evan Blass has now shared the complete specifications and new renders of the smartphone, providing us with an extensive look at how it is shaped and what it offers.
OnePlus Nord N200 specifications
As per the leaked specifications, the OnePlus Nord N200 will come with a 6.49-inch IPS LCD with a Full HD+ (2400x1080 pixels) resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, 405ppi pixel density, and a 90Hz refresh rate.
The device will be powered by a modest Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 SoC that will be paired to a 4 GB LPDDR4x RAM. It will have 64 GB of UFS 2.1 storage and a dedicated microSD card slot for expansion. The phone will run on OxygenOS based on Android 11 OS.
Optics on the Nord N200 will include a triple-lens camera setup with a 13-megapixel primary lens with EIS support, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel monochrome camera. There will also be an LED flash on the setup. At the front will be a 16-megapixel selfie shooter housed in a punch-hole display.
The smartphone will be backed by a 5,000mAh battery that will come with 18W charging support. The phone will also feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner as well as face unlock.
Connectivity features on the device will include dual SIM, 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, dual-band GPS, USB-C, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The Nord N200 will measure 163.1x74.9x8.3mm and will weigh 189 grams.
Just like its predecessor, OnePlus Nord N200 5G will not be coming to India. OnePlus CEO Pete Lau confirmed late last month that the smartphone would be introduced only in the US and Canada markets. It is expected to come with a price tag below $250 (roughly Rs 18,000).
