Oppo Find X5 Pro has been in the news lately. The device has appeared in live images ahead of launch. The Oppo Find X5 Pro can be seen with a slightly elevated camera module similar to what we have seen on the Find X3 Pro. However, this time around, the module will be slightly narrower. Also, there's a "Powered by MariSilicon '' text on the camera module. MariSilicon is the name of the brand's proprietary NPU aimed at improving the camera processing.
There's a Hasselblad branding at the bottom end of the Oppo Find X5 Pro. Given Oppo and OnePlus are part of the same conglomerate, this integration doesn't seem to be surprising. The Oppo Find X5 Pro is expected to be a flagship offering. It is likely to ship with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, a QHD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 50-megapixel triple cameras.
There's more that we know about the Oppo Find X5 Pro, so keep reading to find out all the details.
-- The Oppo Find X5 Pro is expected to take over the Find X3 Pro soon. The device has seen a bunch of leaks recently. In the latest revelation, live pictures of the Oppo Find X5 Pro along with a few key specs have been revealed. The leak comes from tipster Abhishek Yadav via CoolAPK.
-- In the picture, Oppo Find X5 Pro appears with an elevated camera module slightly narrower than its predecessor. There's a triple rear camera setup with an LED flash. The module has a MariSilicon text on the camera module. If you remember, Oppo unveiled its NPU (Neural Processing Unit) at Oppo Inno Day last month. The NPU is expected to improve the camera processing on the upcoming Oppo Flagship.
-- The rear panel also has a Hasselblad branding hinting towards the extension of the partnership with Oppo. OnePlus' merger with the Swedish camera maker Hasselblad has grown to be two devices old with the launch of OnePlus 10 Pro. Thus it is not surprising to see the Hasselblad logo on the Oppo Find X5 Pro.
-- At the front, there seems to be a curved display with a punch-hole camera. The same design was showcased in the renders shown by Prepp_in in collaboration with Onleaks. The renders show the volume rocker which is placed to the left and the power button which is placed to the right.
-- After the launch of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset Oppo confirmed that it will launch a Find X powered by this new chipset in Q1 2022. Thus it is being presumed that Oppo Find X5 Pro is the promised device itself. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset is an octa-core chipset based on a 4nm manufacturing process and clocked at 3GHz.
-- The tweet from tipster Abshiek Yadav has revealed the other specs of the Oppo Find X5 Pro. As per which the smartphone will feature a QHD+ AMOLED LTPO display with 120Hz refresh rate. Onleaks previously said that this display could measure 6.7-inches.
-- As far as the cameras are concerned, the Oppo Find X5 Pro sports a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50 Sony IMX766 primary shooter with OIS, another 50MP IMX766 ultra-wide sensor, and a 13MP S5K3M5 sensor with 2x zoom. However, a fresh leak states the ultra-wide lens used will be 32MP Sony IMX709 instead.
-- Moreover, Oppo Find X5 Pro is supposed to sport a 5000mAh battery with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging support.
At the moment there's no word from Oppo around the launch of Oppo Find X5 Pro. However, Oppo did promise a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 powered Oppo Find X device in Q1 2022. Keeping that in mind we can expect a launch in the coming months. It's quite possible that Oppo Find X5 Pro launches in March as the current-gen Find X3 Pro came during the same time.
To recall, Oppo Find X2 Pro launched at CNY 6999 (roughly Rs 82,000) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant while the Oppo Find X3 Pro came in at 5,999 (Rs 70,400) yuan for the same configuration. There's a CNY 1000 dip in pricing on the current-gen Find X3 Pro. So we are guessing that Oppo will continue to offer the Find X5 Pro at a slightly aggressive pricing, considering the current competition.
