Oppo Reno 3 Pro is official in India now. The new entrant to the Reno family in India brings a horde of features to the table, including the 64-megapixel main camera and a 44-megapixel selfie camera. The smartphone begins where the Oppo Reno 2 left off but it has got new aspects to it. Unlike the sliding cameras on the Reno 2 series, the Reno 3 Pro relies on the pill-shaped cutout to house the front cameras. The design is also improved but in Oppo's traditional way. Oppo has also announced the launch of the Enco Free and Enco W31 truly wireless earbuds in India that, nearly, take on the Galaxy Buds while with an Apple AirPods-like design. Oppo India also announced that its upcoming Oppo Watch will be launched in India. Oppo also launched its digital money lending and finance platform - Oppo Kash. It is similar to Realme Paysa that was launched last year in India.
The Oppo Reno 3 Pro has two variants - Rs 29,990 for the 8GB/128GB model and Rs 32,990 for the 8GB/256GB model - in India. The smartphone comes in Auroral Blue, Midnight Black, and Sky White colours. It will be available to buy in India via online channels - Flipkart, Amazon, Paytm Mall, Snapdeal, TataCliQ, and Oppo online store - and offline stores, including Reliance Digital, Sangeetha, Poorvika, LOT, and Croma among others. The base model will be up for pre-orders starting March 2 while its sales will begin on March 6. The top-end variant will be made available later.
Oppo had already opened the pre-orders for the Reno 3 Pro a few days back for offline buyers along with some offers from bank partners. These offers will continue with the sale as well - 10 per cent cashback on the purchases made via ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, RBL Bank, and Yes Bank cards. There is also the EMI payment option available on Bajaj Finserv. Oppo Care+ is also bundled with the purchase. Moreover, as many as 1,000 early buyers will get the Enco Free truly wireless earbuds for a discounted price of Rs 2,000 and the wireless speakers for Re 1 with the Reno 3 Pro. There are benefits for Jio, Airtel, and Vodafone Idea customers as well.
First things first, Oppo phones are synonymous with good cameras, if not the best. This time, Oppo has upgraded its cameras and put them on the Reno 3 Pro. There is a 64-megapixel main f/1.8 sensor on the smartphone, a 13-megapixel f/2.4 telephoto sensor with up to 20x digital zoom and 5x hybrid zoom, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with a field of view of 119.9 degrees, and a 2-megapixel monochromatic sensor for portraits. There are two cameras on the front - a 44-megapixel wide-angle sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Oppo has packed features such as the Ultra Night Selfie Mode, AI Noise Reduction, and Dual Lens Bokeh among others.
We have talked about that the Reno 3 Pro for India is significantly different from the one that was launched in China back in December last year. Things such as the front cameras and the processor have been changed to lure the Indian customers. Let's see what else the Oppo Reno 3 Pro has to offer.
The Oppo Reno 3 Pro has a 6.4-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with a dual punch-hole design, although it lacks a higher refresh rate. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P95 SoC, which was recently launched and is marginally better than the Helio P90. The Oppo Reno 3 Pro is the first smartphone to rock the P95 processor. The smartphone packs up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.0 internal storage, along with the option to expand the storage. The Oppo Reno 3 Pro runs Android 10-based ColorOS 7 out of the box. The smartphone is backed by a 4025mAh battery that supports the 30W Super VOOC Flash Charge 4.0 fast charging technology. For connectivity, the Oppo Reno 3 Pro has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and 4G VoLTE among others. The smartphone also features Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio.
