The Oppo Reno 6 Pro 5G is one of the most beautiful phones but that does not seem enough.

Story highlights
  • Oppo Reno 6 Pro 5G comes with MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC.
  • The phone has a 64-megapixel quad-camera setup on the back.
  • The Oppo Reno 6 Pro 5G costs Rs 39,990 and goes on sale today.

Oppo Reno 6 Pro 5G smartphone will be available to buy starting Tuesday, July 20. The latest 5G phone from Oppo is one of the most beautiful phones you will find on the market. Oppo has used its Reno Glow technology to give this phone a matte finish with a shiny appearance on the back. But while the phone is a sight to behold, it is not quite the value for money. Oppo's Reno 6 Pro 5G comes with internals such as Dimensity 1200 processor, AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, and a 65W chargeable battery. But these specifications do not seem enough.

As a phone, the Reno 6 Pro 5G ticks most right boxes but it also misses a few. And the reason why those missed boxes are being noticed is because of the price. Before I tell you the price and the sale details for the Oppo Reno 6 Pro 5G, let us talk about whether you should go for this phone if you can find an equally good phone for a less price.

Should you buy Oppo Reno 6 Pro 5G?

The Oppo Reno 6 Pro 5G has a decent mix of specifications. You get a Dimesnity 1200 processor that is among the good processors for mid-range phones. This processor can handle multitasking and games very well, without causing the phone to heat too much. There is ColorOS 11.3 software on the phone and it is very neat and easy to use. You get a 6.55-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display that supports both the 90Hz refresh rate and HDR10+, so you are not going to have problems there.

You have a 4300mAh battery that charges at up to 65W, which means you can get the full battery in under 40 minutes. All of this is good for a mid-range phone, but there are some areas where things could have been better. For instance, the 64-megapixel camera system could have been better. It is not bad, but it is also not outstanding, especially for the price this phone comes at. The Oppo Reno 6 Pro 5G also does not have stereo speakers, which is an essential part of the entertainment on phones for this price.

You can get nearly all of that on the Realme X7 Max 5G, which is available for less. The only reason to go for the Oppo Reno 6 Pro over the Realme X7 Max 5G would be the former's beautiful looks. You can read the full review here.
