Oppo Reno 7 Pro and Reno 7 launch in India is set to take place on February 4. Oppo is holding the launch of its next Reno series phones in India next month, the company has announced. Oppo began teasing the launch of the Reno 7 series last week, so by the time the launch happens it would easily have built up good hype around it. Oppo is teasing the next Reno series phone will include "the portrait expert", which I assume denotes a new camera feature on the upcoming phones.
While Oppo's announcement has confirmed the launch will take place on February 4, a MySmartPrice report has suggested the sale of the Reno 7 series will start on or after February 8. Oppo has confirmed the sale of its phones will be held on Flipkart, which means the phones will be exclusive to Flipkart, but I think Oppo will sell the Reno 7 series through other shopping websites and its own online and offline stores.
The Reno series has always been about a nice mix of looks and specifications. While I have been absolutely impressed by the aesthetics of each Reno series phone, the specifications have kind of been a mixed bag on some models. That is not because the hardware is underwhelming or poor on these phones, but because the competition is strong in the price range the Oppo Reno series is available in.
With the Oppo Reno 7 Pro, you can expect new camera features that will probably make the phone stand out. The phone's specifications are already out because it was launched originally last year in China. Unless Oppo decides to make some changes to the specifications sheet for the Reno 7 Pro, you can expect the Reno 7 Pro to come with a 6.55-inch 90Hz Full-HD+ AMOLED display, a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 Max processor, up to 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, 50-megapixel triple cameras on the back, a 32-megapixel selfie shooter, and a 4500mAh battery with 65W fast charging.
Design is probably the most important aspect of the Reno series, so this time around we may see the Reno Glow-based looks as well. The phone is available in Blue, Black, and Gold colours in China, but Oppo is teasing just the Blue and Black colourways for the Indian launch, so maybe it is going to skip the Gold version. We will find out more about the design in the coming days.
The Oppo Reno 7 Pro's price for the Indian market was leaked recently. The tipster said the Reno 7 series may cost between Rs 28,000 and Rs 43,000, which means the price for the high-end Reno 7 Pro may be around Rs 43,000. Previous Reno series phones have arrived at around the same price, so the ballpark the tipster has suggested may turn out to be correct. Anyway, we will find out more in the coming days.
