Poco has launched its new mid-range 5G smartphone Poco M3 Pro 5G in the global markets. The smartphone sports a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra-like design and comes with a decent spec sheet. These include a 6.5-inch FHD+ 90Hz DynamicSwitch DotDisplay, Dimensity 700 SoC and a 48-megapixel main camera. The display on the Poco M3 Pro 5G is capable of adjusting the refresh rate automatically from static content viewing at 50Hz, streaming video at 60Hz and gaming at 90Hz.
Interestingly, Poco has called off all its India launch events for May 2021. This is because of the ongoing Covid-19 situation in the country. The company was planning to bring a phone to the country by May end but that was postponed too. It will be interesting to see Poco resumes its launches for India and when it decides to bring the Poco M3 Pro 5G to the country.
The Poco M3 Pro 5G is priced at 179 (around Rs 15,995) for the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version and the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage version costs 199 (around Rs 17,780. The POCO M3 Pro 5G comes in Power Black, Cool Blue and POCO Yellow colours. The smartphone will be available on Poco website, AliExpress, Amazon and goboo globally starting May 20.
The Poco M3 Pro 5G features a 6.5-inch (1080 2400 pixels) Full HD+ 20:9 LCD screen with 90Hz refresh rate, 500 nits peak brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartphone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 700 7nm processor with up to 6GB LPDDR4X RAM. The storage on phone can be expanded up to 1TB using a microSD card.
Poco M3 Pro 5G runs Android 11 with MIUI 12, has dual SIM card slot and features a triple rear camera setup. This includes a 48-megapixel main camera with f/1.79 aperture, LED Flash, 2-megapixel depth and 2-megapixel macro camera with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, the phone has a 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture.
The smartphone also features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, IR sensor, 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio. It packs a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging.
