Realme X9 Pro seems to be the next device in the company's launch pipeline. It is supposed to succeed the Realme X7 Pro that was launched in February this year. Earlier reports said that the Realme X9 Pro would be one of the first devices to arrive with Dimensity 1200 SoC. However, that didn't happen. And Realme X7 Max 5G was launched instead with the same processor.
Now the question arises as to what Realme is planning for the Realme X7 Pro successor. Courtesy of leaks, we did not have a tough time finding that answer. From what we have learnt, the smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm's high-end Snapdragon 870 SoC, a 90Hz AMOLED display and 50-megapixel triple rear cameras.
Rumours also suggest that the upcoming Realme X9 Pro may share design and spec similarity to the Oppo Reno 6 Pro+. Besides this, we also know about the expected pricing of this smartphone. Keeping that in mind, we decided to stack everything we know so far about the Realme X9 Pro.
--The Realme X9 Pro is expected to be a high-end midrange smartphone. A device was spotted on TEENA recently with model number RMX3366. The listing revealed a few pictures and key specifications of this smartphone. While the existence of this smartphone can be confirmed, it cannot be rightly said if this is the Realme X9 Pro.
--Pictures revealed through the TENNA listing are akin to the Oppo Reno 6 Pro+, making us believe that the upcoming Realme smartphone might borrow the same design. As far as the specs of the Realme X9 Pro are concerned, the smartphone is tipped to feature a 6.55 inch E3 AMOLED panel with a high refresh panel. These E3 panels are highly power-efficient and are being widely used these days.
--Further, the leaker reveals that it will feature a curved display with support for a high refresh rate, probably 90Hz. Qualcomm's high-end Snapdragon 870 SoC could power the Realme X9 Pro. It is an octa-core SoC clocked at 3.2GHz and coupled with Adreno 650 GPU. The chipset is expected to be paired with up to 8GB/12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB/256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
--In the camera department, the Realme X9 Pro is expected to sport a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary sensor, a 16-megapixel Sony IMX481 ultrawide shooter and a 2-megapixel monochrome lens. Whereas on the front, it may get a 32-megapixel Sony IMX616 shooter for selfies.
--It is supposed that the primary 50-megapixel sensor to be used on the Realme X9 Pro is the same that featured on the OnePlus 9 lineup. Moreover, the device could be powered by a 4500mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging.
--Like the Realme X7 series, the upcoming Realme X9 Pro is also hinted to have a younger sibling. This device is supposed to be called Realme X9 and could be powered by a Snapdragon 778G SoC.
--Realme is also hosting a big event today where the brand will reveal the Snapdragon 888 powered Realme GT 5G alongside two brand new devices Realme Book and Realme Pad. While Realme Book is a Laptop that looks similar to a Macbook, the Realme Pad is a tablet with flat edges. We will find all about these devices in the event today.
The Realme X9 Pro has frequently been popping up in media reports. Recently the device was also spotted on TENNA, hinting towards an imminent launch. Although we do not have a launch date as of now, we are guessing the brand will soon release one. We expect the smartphone may launch next month.
Thanks to the leaks, we do know about the expected pricing of the Realme X9 Pro. According to a tipster, the base variant of Realme X9 Pro price with 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage will start at CNY 2,699 (roughly Rs. 30,800), whereas the top-end model with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage will go for CNY 2,999 (approximately Rs. 34,300).
