Realme X9 is the next smartphone in the company's X-series that will bring some top-end features at an aggressive price. Although the phone is not confirmed, there are several pieces of evidence that point out that the Realme X9 exists. Some rumours have also begun to suggest that there is a Realme X9 Pro, as well. Besides their specifications that have leaked over the past few days, a tipster from China has now claimed that the Realme X9 series will arrive in July.
According to the tipster, the Realme X9 vanilla edition will replace the Realme V15 in the China portfolio, and it sounds a little interesting because the X9 is supposedly the successor to the Realme X7. Similarly, the Realme X9 Pro will replace the Realme X50 Pro that debuted last year. If this information is anything to go by, we may be looking at a top-end phone and an affordable phone in the X9 series. The Realme X9 may be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor, while the X9 Pro may use the Snapdragon 870 processor, according to the tipster.
The price of the Realme X9 series phones has also leaked. While the top-end Realme X9 Pro may cost between CNY 2,500 and CNY 3,000, the Realme X7 price may be between CNY 2,000 and CNY 2,500. Translating these prices into INR, you see the X9 series will not cost more than Rs 35,000, but Realme may not actually put translated prices on the X9 series as and when it comes to India. The tipster has also suggested that there may be a Realme X9 Master Edition, but its specifications are not clear at the moment.
The Realme X9 Pro is believed to be the RMX3366 that gathered certification from China's TENAA after its emergence on the Geekbench platform. The listings on both platforms have suggested the Realme X9 Pro specifications, such as a 6.55-inch Super AMOLED curved display with up to 120Hz refresh rate and HDR. This phone may use a Snapdragon 870 chipset coupled with 8GB of RAM, although there may be a 12GB RAM variant, as well. The phone may also have up to 256GB of storage.
On the backside, the Realme X9 Pro may come with a Sony IMX766 50-megapixel primary camera, a Sony IMX481 16-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 2-megapixel B&W camera on the back. For selfies, there may be a Sony IMX616 32-megapixel front camera. The Realme X9 Pro will have some premium features, such as Dolby panoramic sound, a two-axis linear motor, and support for NFC. The front and back sides of the Realme X9 Pro will have Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, sandwiched between an aluminium alloy rim.
Nearly every specification -- except the X-axis motor, OIS on cameras, and the telephoto camera on the Oppo Reno 6 Pro+ -- are likely to come down to the Realme X9 Pro, marking similarities between Realme's upcoming phone and Oppo's recent phone. It is not surprising because Realme uses the technologies from Oppo, the company it spun off from some years back.
