After months of leaks and speculations, Sony has finally revealed the launch date of its upcoming flagship audio product. Yes, the music enthusiasts can finally heave a sigh of relief as Sony is launching the WF-1000XM4 in the market on June 8. The XM4 is the successor to the WF-1000XM3, which was extremely well-received by the audiophiles. The XM4 promises a lot of upgrades over the XM3, it claims to offer a better battery life and enhanced ANC.

Sony confirmed launching the audio device by posting a YouTube live stream link on its channel. The event which has been titled "Truly Silent. Tailored 4 you" is scheduled for June 8. The company is expected to unveil new flagship TWS earbuds. The event will begin at 4 PM UTC on June 8. Sony is yet to confirm whether it will launch one or more than one product during the launch event.

The price of the upcoming flagship TWS earbuds by Sony was leaked on a Slovakian website a few days. First spotted by the Walkman Blog, the Sony WF-1000XM4 has been priced at 279.90 (approximately Rs 24,000) on the website. In India, the XM4 could be slightly pricier than the XM3, which was launched in 2020.

Now coming to the features that were also leaked on the website along with the price, the Sony-WF-1000XM4 will come with active noise cancellation, speak to chat feature, enhance battery life and more. The XM3 also came with active noise cancellation but due to a change in processor, the XM4 will come with better active noise cancellation. The Sony WF-1000XM4 will be powered by a new Sony V1 integrated processor instead of a QN1e processor which was found in the WH-1000XM3.

The WF-1000XM4 will also come with a speak-to-chat feature that turns on transparency mode and stops the music when it hears the users voice. The feature was previously seen in the Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones in 2020. The earbuds will come with an IPX4 rating for sweat and water resistance. This is a welcome change over the WF-1000XM3 that had no sweat or water resistance. Coming to the battery life, the reports have claimed that the XM4 would arrive with improved battery life. If reports are to be believed, the device would go on for 8 hours on a single charge with the ANC on and without the ANC, it can go on for 12 hours.
