Over the last few weeks, we've been seeing an increasing number of leaks and rumours about OnePlus' next set of flagship phones, the OnePlus 9 series. The last few set of rumours have hinted at there being two new phones under the series, with OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro completing the list.
However, a new leak has now claimed that the company could also be looking to launch a new phone alongside the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro phones. This device is tipped to be called the OnePlus 9E. This new information comes via reliable tipster Max Jambor AKA @MaxJmb, who claims that there will be a third device that will be launched as part of the OnePlus lineup in early-2021. As mentioned above, this phone has been tipped to be called the "OnePlus 9E", with no details about the device revealed by the leakster.
There's also been a separate leak which talks about the OnePlus 9 series' design. It comes via Tipster Waqar Khan who has shared some high-quality renders of the OnePlus 9 series devices, revealing in the process key design elements of the phones.
As per the leaked renders, the OnePlus devices will feature flat displays on the OnePlus 9 and curved on the OnePlus 9 Pro. Both phones will come with a punch-hole design and a camera hump on the back which appear to house a rectangular camera enclosure similar in design to the one to the one featured on the OnePlus 8T. However, unlike the latter, the new phones will sport four cameras instead of three at the back. The OnePlus 9 Pro screen appears to be a 6.7-inch diagonal panel, which could go up to 144Hz. The phone could also house stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
Earlier, a Geekbench listing of the OnePlus 9 Pro had revealed key details about the device, with the OnePlus 9 Pro being shown to have clocked a single-core score of 1,122 and 2,733 in the multi-core test. The benchmark listing also showed that the OnePlus 9 Pro will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 processor.
The chipset has been shown to be paired with 8GB of RAM. However, this is probably for the entry-level variant, with OnePlus mostly coming out with phones with up to 12GB of RAM. Additionally, the listing also reveals that this configuration will be paired with the latest Android 11 OS out of the box.
