Barely days ahead of the launch of the OnePlus 8T, the phone maker has teased the upcoming phone once again. In an official YouTube teaser, the company has shown off the upcoming device in its Aquamarine Green avatar.
The YouTube teaser does not give us an in-depth look at the design but still manages to reveal enough about how the phone will look upon launch. Further, the teaser also confirms a quad rear camera setup at the back and shows the placement of the cameras as well as the design of the module they are housed in.
Sitting in the top left corner of the rear panel, the camera module is rectangular in shape. In the middle, there's the OnePlus brand logo in white colour. The rest of the back is dominated by the Aquamarine Green glass back.
Speaking about the design of the device in a blog post, the company's CEO, Pete Lau, said: "After exploring countless iterations with different CMFs (color, material and finish) for more than 4 months, we achieved a breakthrough and produced a remarkable glossy back cover for the new Aquamarine Green variant of the OnePlus 8T. This version takes advantage of diffuse reflection, a form of light refraction that scatters light in an expansive array of angles and directions, to produce a clean, gleaming surface that effectively mitigates the buildup of fingerprints."
Apart from this, we've previously had confirmation from OnePlus that the phone will come with an AMOLED panel that will run at a fast refresh rate of 120Hz. The information on the OnePlus 8T screen is officially available from OnePlus, complete with its testing notes from Display Mate that rates it very highly. OnePlus has confirmed that the OnePlus 8T screen will use a new 2.5D flexible glass which helps the display shine brighter, reaching a peak brightness of whopping 1,000 nits, while the colour accuracy will be "the highest possible across the industry".
Another feature confirmation that we have from OnePlus is faster charging on the OnePlus 8T. The company has previously teased the phone to offer "Ultra-Fast" charging speeds to the tune of 65W using the company's new Warp Charge 65 solution. This will be paired to a 4500mAh battery pack. More on the device will be known in the coming days as we approach the launch date of the device.
