Xiaomi is planning to launch a number of new smartphones in the second half of 2021. These phones will be launched under both the Redmi and Mi sub-brands but, it's the Mi series that is set to get big upgrades. Earlier this week, we learnt that Xiaomi is working on a new smartphone with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 888 SoC. It was believed to be a Mi Mix series smartphone. However, a new leak suggests that it can actually be yet-to-be-announced Mi 11T.

According to the well-known leakster Kacper Skrzypek, a Xiaomi phone with the codename Vili has visited FCC certification website and carries the model number 2107113SG. This smartphone is tipped to be a part of the Mi 11 series and not the Mi Mix series. In India, Xiaomi has launched the Mi 11 Lite, Mi 11X, Mi 11X Pro and Mi 11 Ultra as part of this line-up. Out of these, Mi 11X Pro and Mi 11 Ultra already come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor.

Xiaomi is yet to name the smartphone but, going by the devices it had launched last year, it won't be a surprise if the phone is called Mi 11T. The smartphone is likely to feature a full HD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate.

That's not it. Apart from the Mi 11T, Xiaomi is also believed to be working on Snapdragon 778G chip. This one has been code named Lisa and is expected to feature a 90Hz display and a 64-megapixel Samsung GW3 main camera, among other things. In China, the phone is expected to be a part of the Mi CC 11 line-up. It will be interesting to see when and if Xiaomi decides to bring this one to India. The smartphone maker is yet to introduce the CC line-up in the country but, is known for rebranding the Chinese variants for the Indian market.

In total, Xiaomi is looking at a really busy year ahead and might launch as many as 13 smartphones in its domestic market in the second half of 2021. Again, we have no idea how many of these phones will be brought to India.
