Vodafone Idea also known as Vi (pronounced as We) has announced a new Work From Home prepaid plan priced at Rs 351. This is the first prepaid plan announced by Vodafone ever since it launched a new brand identity. The prepaid plan, however, has been made available to selected circles. Although Vodafone has got a new name in the market, it didn't make many changes in its recharge plans.
The Rs 351 prepaid plan by Vi was first spotted by OnlyTech. The prepaid plan comes with total internet data of 100GB and has a validity of 56 days. The plan doesn't come with any calling or SMS benefits, it is simply an add-on plan that helps in extending the data benefits of the existing prepaid plan. For instance, if you are active on a prepaid plan that offers 2GB data per day but you need more data for your work, you can recharge your number with any of the add-on plans. Interestingly, the add-on prepaid plan comes with validity which means that it will not expire with your current prepaid plan.
The Rs 351 prepaid plan is an upgrade over the Rs 251 prepaid plan that comes with 50GB data and a validity of 28 days. The prepaid plan also doesn't include any calling or SMS benefits. This is also an add-on prepaid plan that can be particularly useful for people who are working from home due to the pandemic.
Meanwhile, Vodafone and Idea became Vi (read as We) in India. It is no secret that Vodafone was struggling to clear the AGR dues but instead of announcing any fund-raising events, the telecom giant came up with a new brand identity.
