Vodafone Idea, which was freshly rebranded as Vi delivered the fastest 4G download and upload speeds in the last quarter of 2020, according to Ookla, the internet testing, data and analysis company. The telco noted that GIGAnet from Vi has been verified as the fastest 4G network for average download speeds in 16 Indian states - Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, West Bengal, Delhi, Kerala, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Sikkim, Assam, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram and Nagaland. Meanwhile, Vodafone has started offering VoWiFi services in Maharashtra-Goa, Mumbai and Kolkata circles.
According to data shared by Ookla, Vi has also topped the speed charts for average download speeds in 142 cities including Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Jaipur, Indore, Patna, Ranchi, Rajkot, Vadodara, Agra, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, as well as the metros of Mumbai, Delhi NCR and Kolkata, among others. In the third quarter of 2020, Vi ranked fastest in 120 cities. As per the latest TRAI MyCall report for January 2021, Vodafone Idea delivered the highest voice quality for the third month in a row and was the only operator to score over 4 points on a scale of 1 to 5.

Meanwhile, the Netflix Speed Index has released its list of operators that gave average speeds, along with details on countries and regions that gave the best experience. JioFiber has topped the charts in Netflix's speed index with 3.6 Mbps in January in India. Along with JioFiber, Tata Sky Broadband secured the top position in the list with an average of 3.4 Mbps for January 2021. It was followed by Airtel, Atria Convergence Technologies (ACT), Excitel Broadband, Hathway, and Spectra at 3.4Mbps.
