The Vivo X60 series is confirmed to launch in India on March 25. Vivo has been teasing the new smartphone series for few days and has claimed to improve the camera performance.

The Vivo X60 series is confirmed to launch in India on March 25. Vivo has been teasing the new smartphone series for few days and has claimed to improve the camera performance. The smartphone maker on Friday officially announced the India launch of the X60 series by sending out invites. The X60 line-up will follow up last year's Vivo X50 series which was received well for its camera performance. The new smartphones will be launched during an online event.

The big upgrade comes in the form of a new partnership between Vivo and Carl Zeiss optics. The launch teaser further confirms that the Vivo X60 series will feature lenses by Zeiss. It is expected to include three smartphones Vivo X60, Vivo X60 Pro and Vivo X60 Pro+. It will be interesting to see if all the smartphones are launched at the same time or are spaced out.

Vivo has a history of launching one smartphone at a time but it has teased the launch of 'X60 series', confirming that more than one smartphones will be launched in India on March 25. Interestingly, India won't be the first country to get the Vivo X60 line-up. The smartphones will be launched in Malaysia on March 22. The teaser also confirms that the smartphone series will have support for 5G.

An earlier teaser tweeted by Vivo India revealed a triple rear camera setup on the smartphone with Zeiss branding on top. This could be the standard Vivo X60 model. At least one of the top models of the phone are likely to feature a quad rear camera setup. There is no information on the sensors used by the smartphone maker.

In China, the standard Vivo X60 features a triple rear camera setup including a 48MP primary sensor and dual 13MP units for ultra-wide and telephoto. The Pro model also has an additional periscope unit. The most premium of the three, Vivo X60 Pro+, features a main 50MP sensor with Zeiss optics, a 48MP ultra-wide sensor, a 32MP portrait lens, and an 8MP periscope unit.

The Vivo X60 and X60 Pro feature Snapdragon 870 SoC in global markets while the Vivo X60 Pro+ is powered by Snapdragon 888 chipset. A
