Xiaomi had an embarrassing moment on Twitter on Monday afternoon, when one of its polls didn't go as planned, forcing the smartphone maker to even delete the tweet. What's worse? It might have ended up giving away an important piece of information about its upcoming Redmi Note 10 series. The smartphone maker put out a poll on Twitter where it asked Xiaomi fans to choose between an LCD display and an AMOLED display for the upcoming Redmi Note 10. The options give to the users included 'Best LCD + 120Hz' or 'AMOLED'.

Using an adjective before one of the options clearly suggested Xiaomi's hopes of getting better reaction for the LCD display. Some of Xiaomi executives also tweeted that they would prefer the LCD display with 120Hz refresh rate. However, things didn't go as planned. Close to 90 per cent users voted for an AMOLED display. This forced Xiaomi to delete the tweet within one hour after posting it.

In the process, Xiaomi has sort of ended up revealing that the Note 10 series will be equipped with LCD displays with 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is confirmed to launch next month and while most details have been kept under wraps, the company had already hinted at higher refresh rate by promoting the smartphones for their smoothness. The recent tweets suggests that the company will stick to a LCD display against the AMOLED display.

The smartphone is likely to be powered by a mid-range chipset, most probably the Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G processor. The Redmi Note 10 series will come with a 64MP primary camera along with an ultra-wide lens, a depth sensor and a macro sensor. The phone is also expected to feature NFC support. There are reports that the smartphone can pack a 5,050mAh battery on the phone along with multiple storage configurations of up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.

While the company is yet to announce the final launch date, a leaked Amazon listing has hinted at March 10 launch for the Redmi Note 10 series. It also suggests that the series can include four variants - the Redmi Note 10 5G, Note 10 4G, Note 10 Pro 5G, and a 4G variant of the Note 10 Pro.
