Xiaomi confirms Mi 11 series India launch: Expected price, features, specifications and more

Xiaomi has confirmed the India launch for its flagship Mi 11 series. The Chinese smartphone maker tried to steal some thunder from its rival OnePlus, making the announcement in the middle of OnePlus 9 series launch.

Xiaomi has confirmed the India launch for its flagship Mi 11 series. The Chinese smartphone maker tried to steal some thunder from its rival OnePlus, making the announcement in the middle of OnePlus 9 series launch. The company has put out a post through its official social media handles, confirming that new Mi 11 smartphones will be launched in India soon. The post doesn't reveal the exact launch date. It also doesn't mention how many smartphones will be unveiled in the country.

Xiaomi has already launched the Mi 11 in China and globally as the first smartphone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. It has also announced a launch event in China for March 29, during which Xiaomi is expected to launch Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra. There is a chance that both these smartphones also come to India at some point.

Mi 11 price in India

The exact pricing of Mi 11 will be announced during the India launch event. Globally, Mi 11 price was set at EUR 749 (around Rs 65,800) for the 8GB + 128GB storage variant, while the 8GB + 256GB storage model is priced at EUR 799 (around Rs 70,100). The phone comes in Cloud White, Horizon Blue, and Midnight Grey colour options.

Going by Xiaomi's pricing history, the Mi 11 should be priced aggressively in India. It may cost around Rs 50,000 in the country.

Mi 11 specifications

Mi 11 features a 6.81-inch 2K WQHD+ (1,440x3,200 pixels) AMOLED display with 1,500 nits of peak brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The display supports 120Hz refresh rate and touch sampling rate of up to 480Hz. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, coupled with up to 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM.

The smartphone comes with a triple rear camera comprising of a 108-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.85 lens and optical image stabilisation, a 13-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.4 ultra-wide-angle lens and a 5-megapixel 'telemacro' shooter. Mi 11 also comes with a 20-megapixel selfie camera.

Mi 11 packs a 4,600mAh battery that supports Mi TurboCharge 55W wired and 50W wireless charging. Mi 11 also comes with 10W wireless reverse charging support.
