Xiaomi Mi 10T series India launch today: Expected price, features and how to watch livestream

Xiaomi is all set to launch the Mi 10T phones in India later today. The phones will be launched in the country after first making an appearance on the global stage in on September 30. To celebrate the launch of the device in India, Xiaomi is hosting a launch event for the device at 12pm in India today.

Scheduled to be held virtually, this event will see Xiaomi launch the Mi 10T series which will be populated by as many as two phones. For those interested, Xiaomi will be sharing the livestream of the launch through its YouTube and other social media profiles.

Before coming to India, the two phones have already been unveiled in China and Europe. In the latter, the Mi 10T 5G is available at Euro 499 for the 6GB +128GB variant and Euro 549 for the 8GB + 128GB variant. On the other hand, the Mi 10T Pro 5G costs Euro 599 for the 8GB + 128GB variant and Euro 649 for the 8GB + 256GB variant. In India, the phone has seen its price leak ahead of the launch, with the device expected to start retail at Rs 44,999 in the country.

The European launch of the device has also given us a decent idea about the specifications the device will flaunt in India. As such, the Mi 10T Pro 5G could feature a 6.67-inch fullHD+ IPS LCD screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. The phone is expected to run on Snapdragon 865+ SoC with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. For the battery, users will get a 5000mAh pack with 33W fast charging. There will also be a 108-megapixel rear camera system on the phone which will be paired to 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel lenses, with optical stabilization, 8K video recording, dual-video mode and more.

The Mi 10T 5G is expected to be a toned-down version of the Pro model, the Mi 10T smartphone bringing a 64-megapixel camera system instead of a 108-megapixel rear camera system. The cameras will include a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 5-megapixel macro camera. The rest of the features of the Mi 10T smartphone will be similar to that of its elder sibling -- the Mi 10T Pro model.

Additionally, both the Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro also get 3D audio recording and 3D audio playback. They will also come equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection that also includes the camera lenses, and an anti-bacterial case and screen protection layers that will come with the phones.
