- The Mi Note 10 Lite ditches the 108-megapixel penta-camera system.
- Instead, it goes for a sensible 64-megapixel quad-camera system.
- Xiaomi may bring the Mi Note 10 Lite to the Indian market later this year.
Xiaomi has big plans for its premium Mi series phones this year and its latest announcement reassures that once again. After announcing a Mi Note 10 Pro last year with a shocking 108-megapixel camera, Xiaomi now wants to make 90 per cent of that phone's features the masses. What does the 10 per cent exclude? Well, the expensive 108-megapixel camera! Replacing that with a more economical quad-camera system gives us the Mi Note 10 Lite.
The Mi Note 10 Lite is easier on the pockets of consumers and offers a similar experience to the Pro model. It is almost identical to the older model in many ways, except for the cameras. There's now a new 64-megapixel camera that uses a Sony IMX686 sensor. The flashy penta-camera system is also left out for a more sensible quad-camera system.
Since there are rumours hinting at an India launch for this phone, we take a deeper look at what the Mi Note 10 Lite has to offer.

Mi Note 10 Lite features:
-The Mi Note 10 Lite is identical to the Note 10 Pro, except for the rear cameras and design. Instead of using the expensive 108-megapixel camera, the Lite uses the tested 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 sensor for its main camera. This is paired with an 8-megapixel wide angle camera. The Lite misses out on the telephoto camera and gains just an average macro camera.
-Since the cameras are new, the rear design has changed slightly that now tries to imitate the chunky quad cameras we have seen on Samsung phones this year. The rectangular design for the cameras allows for two LED flashes at the back.
-The Mi Note 10 Lite is a 4G phone and that means it only gets the Snapdragon 730G, which is currently the most capable 4G chip in the market. This is the same chip that we saw on the Poco X2 earlier this year.
Mi Note 10 Lite prices:
The Mi Note 10 Lite comes in white and black gradients but it gets a new Nebula Purple variant for the European market. The Mi Note 10 Lite is starting at Euro 349 (approx Rs 28,000) with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. For those who want 128GB as storage, it will cost $399 (approx Rs 33,000).
