Elections 2014: Narendra Modi takes charge
'Would have given commerce ministry to Arun Jaitley'

If I were the PM, I would assign finance ministry to Arun Shourie. Shourie has been an economist, politician and is an eminent journalist. Shourie will bring his wide experience to the Indian market which seems to be at the cusp of a bull run.

According to the global financial services major, after the BJP's "historic" election victory on May 16, hope for structural reforms has gone up.
The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) will likely have as many as 45 officials, compared with 27 when Manmohan Singh was at the helm of affairs, sources said.

Jaitley is a well-known lawyer and had handled an important portfolio in Atal Bihari Vajpayee's government.
Arun Jaitley, with his vast experience and charisma can don the role of a finance minister and revive Asia's third biggest economy.
The role of the FM will require not just domain expertise but also a lot of negotiation skills to get some tough bills passed.
Going by his past decisions, the new prime minister will be pro-business but will also quickly move on headline-grabbing issues
