Snowfall in J&K, highways blocked as cold wave grips north India

An intense cold wave has gripped parts of northern India particularly Jammu and Kashmir. Heavy snowfall in the valley has thrown normal life  completely out of gear. Several houses collapsed in the city due to incessant  snowfall, flights to Srinagar also remain  suspended. The effects are being felt in other parts of north India including the national capital.
