Two-wheelers are very popular in India. As of May 2023, bike manufacturers recorded a sale of 14.71 lakh units and out of which 1.04 lakh were electric. So, to keep such a huge customer base, the companies keep launching new models with top-of-the-line features and technology throughout the year. Bajaj has announced the launch of two bikes on July 5, the first one being Triumph Scrambler 400. The bike has been developed by the British manufacturer Triumph while the production will be done locally by Bajaj Auto. The new bike will give competition to models from Royal Enfield, Jawa, Yezdi and the latest launch by Harley Davidson, the X440. The bike is expected to have a 350-400cc liquid-cooled engine paired with a 6-speed gearbox

Bajaj Triumph Scrambler 400

The second bike launching on July 5 shares the same 4-valve 398.15cc engine with the Scrambler 400, which gives an output of 39.5bhp and peak torque of 37.5 Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission in both new motorcycles. The difference between Scrambler 400 and the Speed 400 is that the latter gets a smaller 17-inch front wheel and 300mm disc brakes compared to the 19-inch front wheel and 320mm disc brake in Scrambler. Also, the Speed 400 has a smaller wheelbase compared to the Scrambler 400
