“Benchmark indices experienced a second consecutive decline on Monday, with the Sensex dropping 139 points to close at 65,655 and the Nifty falling by 37 points to close at 19,694. Share markets outlook today (November 21)

“Markets lingered in negative territory in a listless trading session and extended its losing streak amid selling in select frontline stocks. Investors continue to trade with caution amid uncertainty over the ongoing West Asia conflict, and global economic slowdown concerns. While markets struggled to capitalize on positive global cues, investors also shrugged off hopes for more stimulus from China. Technically, Nifty needs to reclaim the 19,889 mark to unleash fresh upside, while the biggest support is placed at 19,471 mark,” said Prashanth Tapse, Research Analyst-Sr VP Research, Mehta Equities Ltd

Nifty outlook today (November 21): Analyst view

"The Nifty index is currently trading within a broad consolidation phase, forming an inside bar candle pattern, with support observed at 19,650 and resistance at 19,800. For a decisive trending move, the index needs to break out of this range with significant volumes on either side. Despite the consolidation, the broader picture remains bullish, with major support identified in the 19,550-19,500 zone. A break above 19,850 is anticipated to open up room for the index to reach all-time high levels,” said Kunal Shah, Senior Technical & Derivative analyst at LKP Securities

Bank Nifty Technical View today (November 21)

"The Bank Nifty index has formed a doji candle on the daily chart, suggesting indecisiveness at the current levels. The index encounters formidable resistance at 44,000, where the highest open interest is concentrated on the call side. A breakthrough above this level is anticipated to trigger sharp short-covering moves. Conversely, the lower-end support is positioned at 43,300, and a breach below this level could pave the way for further downside movement towards the 42,800 level. This data highlights a delicate balance in market sentiment, with potential for significant moves based on key resistance and support levels,” said Kunal Shah, Senior Technical & Derivative analyst at LKP Securities

Currency outlook today (November 21): Analyst view

“The Rupee concluded on a weaker note, shedding nearly 11 paisa, driven by robust U.S. dollar demand from domestic companies. Additionally, the Rupee weakened in response to the strength observed in the currencies of other developed countries. Anticipating continued weakness, we foresee the Rupee potentially reaching levels of 83.50 and 83.63 in the coming days, with 83.10 serving as a crucial support level,” said Rahul Kalantri, VP Commodities, Mehta Equities Ltd
