Benchmark indices on Tuesday settled lower, pausing their five-day strong upward move. The domestic benchmarks were dragged by IT, pharma and healthcare stocks. Headline index NSE Nifty closed at 22,032.30-level. Top gainers on the Nifty50 platform were BPCL, Tata Steel, Titan, ITC and Maruti while losers included Divi's Labs, HCLTech, NTPC, Wipro and Infosys.
Stocks such as HDFC Bank, Reliance Industries Ltd, ICICI Bank, Infosys and BPCL were most active on NSE today, in terms of value. Tata Steel, ONGC, SBI and Wipro were the other buzzing stocks on the platform, in terms of volume.
Shares of ITI Ltd emerged as the top gainer in the NSE 500 index. The stock zoomed 18.57% on NSE today to settle at Rs 373.85. At this price, the company commanded a market capitalisation (m-cap) of Rs 35,922.8 crore.
Capri Global Capital Ltd shares soared 17.81% to close at Rs 958. The company's m-cap came at Rs 19,757.3 crore.
Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC) shares surged 9.03% to close at Rs 141.85. The company's m-cap stood at Rs 1,85,376.8 crore.
Shares of Angel One Ltd fell sharply today. The stock dived 14.08% to close at Rs 3,329.9 on Tuesday. At this price, the company's market cap stood at Rs 27,954.7 crore.
Avanti Feeds shares slipped 4.58% to end the session at Rs 526.95. The company's m-cap came at Rs 7,179.5 crore today.
