Benchmark indices ended higher for the second consecutive session on Monday with NSE Nifty ending near 19,150 level. Top gainers on the Nifty50 platform were BPCL, UltraTech Cement, ONGC, Reliance Industries (RIL) and SBI Life while losers included UPL, Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki India, Eicher Motors and Axis Bank.
Stocks such as RIL, HDFC Bank, Maruti, Tata Motors and ICICI Bank were most active on NSE, in terms of value. Tata Steel, BPCL and NTPC were the other buzzing stock on the platform, in terms of volume.
Shares of EIH emerged as the top gainer in the NSE 500 index. The stock surged 7.83% on NSE today to settle at Rs 227.9.
Jindal Saw shares jumped 7.76% to close at Rs 413.2. At this price, the company commanded a market capitalisation (m-cap) of Rs 13,212.2 crore.
Shares of Supreme Industries jumped 7.47% to end the session at Rs 4,522.1. The company's m-cap came at Rs 57,442.8 crore.
Shares of Vodafone Idea rose 6.88% to settle at Rs 11.65 today. Voda Idea's m-cap stood at Rs 56,711.8 crore.
Shares of Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services fell sharply today. The stock cracked 11.47% to close at Rs 245.5.
Shares of Petronet LNG tanked 8.42% to finish at Rs 201.7 today. The company's market valuation was at Rs 30,255 crore.
Shares of V-Mart Retail slumped 6.87% to settle at Rs 1,625.3 today. The company's m-cap came at Rs 3,214.3 crore.
