Indian equity benchmarks were trading lower today. The 30-share BSE Sensex fell 191 points to 65,206 and Nifty lost 56 pts to 19,485.
Anand James, Chief Market Strategist at Geojit Financial Services said, "With last week registering successively lower lows, the ongoing slide appears to gain momentum, setting up environment for a dive into the 19350-230 region. However favoured view does not yet expect a collapse beyond this point, but we would require either a consolidation here, or an outright pull back above 19550 region to signal recovery."
Shares of CreditAccess Grameen zoomed to a record high today after the firm reported its Q2 earnings on October 20. CreditAccess Grameen stock rose 12.26% to a record high of Rs 1560. Market cap of the microfinance firm rose to 24,011 crore. The stock was the top gainer on BSE.

Shares of YES Bank slipped over 4% to Rs 16.56 in early deals post Q2 earnings. Market capitalisation of the lender fell to Rs 48,112 crore. Total 236.57 lakh shares changed hands amounting to the highest turnover of Rs 40 crore.
Shares of Suzlon Energy slipped 2% to Rs 31.50 in early deals. Market capitalisation of the firm fell to Rs 44,792 crore. Total 116.37 lakh shares changed hands amounting to a high turnover of Rs 38.87 crore.
Shares of Delta Corp were trading flat at Rs 129.85 in early deals. Market capitalisation of the firm stood at Rs 3,477 crore. Total 25.19 lakh shares changed hands amounting to a high turnover of Rs 33.55 crore.
Shares of IRFC slipped 5.6% to Rs 72.70 in early deals. Market capitalisation of the firm fell to Rs 96,693 crore. Total 25.42 lakh shares changed hands amounting to a high turnover of Rs 19.06 crore.
Shares of MCX gained 4.11% to Rs 2417.50 against the previous close of Rs 2322.05 on BSE. Market capitalisation of the firm climbed to Rs 11,907 crore. Total 1.04 lakh shares changed hands amounting to a high turnover of Rs 24.54 crore.
