Indian equity benchmarks extended their winning for the fourth straight session on February 16 (Friday), led by gains in automobile, technology and pharma stocks. During this week, stocks such as Federal Bank, Bosch, Oil India and Wipro were among the top gainers on Nifty 200.
Federal Bank Ltd's stock was the top gainer this week in the Nifty 200 universe as the scrip soared 12.31% to Rs 164.7 on NSE. In the last one month, the stock has risen 7.68%.
Bosch Ltd's stock surged 11.98% this week to Rs 28,329.05 on NSE, and was among the top gainers in the Nifty 200 universe. In the last one month, the stock has jumped 21.06%.
Oil India Ltd's stock was also among the top gainers in the Nifty 200 pack this week as it moved 11.79% higher to close at Rs 573.65 on NSE. In the last one month, the stock has gained 44.68%.
Zydus Lifesciences Ltd's stock jumped 11.2% to Rs 891.9 on NSE in the week ended on February 16, and was among the top gainers in the Nifty 200 universe. On a monthly basis, the stock has risen 24.42%.
Wipro Ltd's stock was also among the top gainers in the Nifty 200 universe this week as it climbed 11.2% to Rs 90,278.5 on NSE. In the last one month, the stock has climbed 9.79%. Shares of Bank of Baroda, M&M, Zomato, ACC and Polycab India also picked up pace during the week.
One97 Communications Ltd's stock (Paytm's parent) crashed 23.59% this week to Rs 341.3 on NSE, and was the top loser in the Nifty 200 pack. In the last one month, the stock has nosedived 52.21%. The stock has been under tremendous pressure since Reserve Bank of India (RBI) announced restrictions on Paytm Payments' operations amid persistent non-compliances and continued material supervisory concerns.
Hindalco Industries Ltd shares slumped 14.24% to Rs 515.7 on NSE this week, making the stock one of the top losers in the Nifty 200 universe. In the last one month, the scrip has declined 10.26%. Bharat Forge, Ramco Cements, Aditya Birla Fashion, RVNL and Bharat Dynamics also saw sharp corrections during the week.
