Udyog Mitra, part of Department of Industries, Government of Bihar, disseminates relevant information to the investor pertaining to investment profiles for different industries and the various clearances required at the business entry stage.

Udyog Mitra has become the Centre for Industrial Documentation and Information for Industrial Development and Promotional activities. It now provides secretarial support to Industries department with respect to the single window system.

Being a promotional agency of the state Udyog Mitra regularly conducts investor presentations, seminars, meets, conferences etc. for showcasing Bihar as a potential investment location. We provide technical guidance in the form of relevant project profiles and policy information to entrepreneurs setting up all kinds of industries. Udyog Mitra consists of an "Entrepreneur Assistance Cell".

Services provided by Udyog Mitra :

• To welcome entrepreneurs and assist them in setting up industry in Bihar. Providing them with Single Window Assistance in dealing with different Government Departments.
• Provide Project Profiles & related information to the Entrepreneurs for setting up the Industries.
• To assist in allotment of plots/sheds in BIADA, location clearance for setting up an industrial unit from different Govt. Departments like Bihar State Pollution Control Board, NOC for Electrical / Fire Safety etc.
• To collect, compile industrial data and to disseminate information to entrepreneurs, consultants, planners and researchers.
• To share with entrepreneurs availability of infrastructural facilities in the State like power, water, land/shed and communication facilities with regard to imported raw materials as well as indigenous/local raw materials and availability of market for different industrial products.
• Collection, compilation & generation of computerised report of Industries Department’s Schemes like PMEGP, CMSCST Scheme, Start up Scheme, Loan & Rent Recovery, OTS, District Profile & Industrial survey etc.
