Fadnavis On Women’s Cricket Triumph: “They’ve Inspired A Generation”

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis felicitated the women cricketers from Maharashtra who were part of India’s historic ICC Women’s World Cup–winning team. Expressing immense pride, Fadnavis announced a prize of ₹2.25 crore each for the players and ₹25 lakh for coach Amol Muzumdar, along with additional rewards for their supporting coaches. He praised Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues, and Radha Yadav for bringing glory to the state and inspiring a new generation of young girls to take up sports. Fadnavis emphasised that beyond the monetary reward, it was the honour and inspiration these athletes have brought to the nation that truly matter.
