From The Personal Appearance Of UAE President To Deal On UPI, The Big Takeaways In Abu Dhabi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UAE's President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan together launched the UPI RuPay card service in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, February 13. President Nahyan swiped a card embossed with his name to mark the start of the service of the JAYWAN card which has been linked to the RuPay card in India. Ten more Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) on areas ranging from digital payments to ports, from investments to IMEC were also signed between the two nations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s seventh visit to the Emirates marks a deepening of relations with the Gulf nation which is a global hub of trade and finance.
