IndiGo’s operational crisis has pushed India’s aviation sector into deep turmoil, with over 400 flights cancelled across major cities including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai for the third consecutive day. In a key development, the DGCA has rolled back the controversial crew rest rule that disrupted flight operations at the country’s largest airline. IndiGo has apologised to passengers and said it is working with aviation authorities to reduce delays through planned cancellations. Earlier, the Civil Aviation Ministry held an emergency meeting with IndiGo, DGCA and other stakeholders to stabilise operations.
