IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers highlighted the airline’s rapid growth as it marked 20 years of operations, calling it a milestone year for the carrier. In calendar year 2025, IndiGo flew a record 124 million passengers, up from 113 million the previous year, placing it among the world’s top eight airlines by size. With 2,200 daily flights, 141 destinations and a fleet of 440 aircraft, IndiGo also crossed the $10 billion revenue mark. Elbers underlined IndiGo’s deep domestic reach, connecting 96 Indian cities and bringing 90% of the population within 100 km of an IndiGo-served airport, while steadily expanding its international footprint across Asia, Europe and Africa.
