Advance Tax For YouTubers & Freelancers: When And How Much Tax Should You Pay?

Content creators and freelancers may need to pay advance tax when their estimated tax liability during the year exceeds ₹10,000. Unlike salaried employees, creators may have limited or lower TDS deductions, leaving additional tax to be paid during the year. Advance tax follows a pay-as-you-earn system, with installments generally due in June, September, December and March. Missing these payments can lead to interest charges under applicable income tax provisions.
