At Global Fintech Fest 2026, State Bank of India Chairman Challa Sreenivasulu Setty outlines the three pillars needed to build trust in agentic AI: accuracy, accountability and access without asymmetry. He says AI in financial services must deliver consistent, near-perfect accuracy, while every AI-led action should have an audit trail and clear accountability. Setty also highlights the need for “know your agent” frameworks covering identity, authentication, consent, transaction limits and revocation. He says building trusted agentic AI will require collaboration between governments, regulators, banks, fintechs and technology companies. According to Setty, India’s next opportunity is to move from digital inclusion to intelligent inclusion through AI-powered financial services.
