Biocon Posts 9% Rise In Q1 Total Income; Biopharma Revenue Up 17%

Biocon reported a steady start to FY27, with total income rising 9 per cent year-on-year to 4,391 crore rupees, while EBITDA stood at 902 crore rupees and net profit came in at 141 crore rupees. Growth was led by the biopharma business, with biopharma revenue rising 17 per cent, driven by momentum from recent biosimilar and generic product launches across key markets. The company also strengthened its manufacturing capabilities with regulatory approval for its insulin fill-finish facility in Malaysia and said it expects growth momentum to accelerate through the year.
